SUOMEN OPPIHISTORIALLISEN SEURAN GRADUPALKINTO
Suomen Oppihistoriallinen Seura täyttää tänä vuonna 60 vuotta. Juhlavuoden kunniaksi seuran hallitus on päättänyt alkaa palkita toimialaansa liittyviä ansiokkaita pro gradu -tutkielmia.
Seuran toimiala kattaa laajasti aate- ja oppihistoriallisen tutkimuksen eri tieteenaloilla — mukaan lukien eri tieteenalojen, tiedon ja oppineisuuden, tieteellisten instituutioiden sekä tieteenfilosofian historia. Palkinnon saajan valitsee Suomen Oppihistoriallisen Seuran hallitus saamistaan hakemuksista. Palkinnon suuruus on 100 euroa.
Hakukelpoisuus
Hakukelpoisia ovat minkä tahansa suomalaisen yliopiston opiskelijat, joiden pro gradu -tutkielma on hyväksytty 1.8.2024–30.6.2026 välisenä aikana. Ehdotuksen palkinnonsaajasta voi jättää joko tekijä itse, opinnäytteen ohjaaja tai sen tarkastaja.
Palkinnon jakaminen vuonna 2026
Palkinto jaetaan Suomen Oppihistoriallisen Seuran oppihistorian päivillä Helsingissä 24.–25.9.2026.
Hakeminen
Hakemus liitteineen tulee toimittaa seuran sihteerille sähköpostitse osoitteeseen sihteeri@oppihistoriallinenseura.fi viimeistään 10.8.2026.
Hakemukseen tulee liittää (PDF-tiedostoina):
- hyväksytty pro gradu -tutkielma
- pro gradusta annetut lausunnot
- lyhyt vapaamuotoinen tiivistelmä tutkielman aiheen yhteyksistä oppihistoriaan (max. 300 sanaa)
- opinnäytetyön tekijän yhteystiedot (sähköposti, puhelinnumero)

THE THESIS PRIZE OF THE FINNISH SOCIETY OF SCIENCE AND LEARNING
The Finnish Society of Science and Learning (FSSL) is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. In honour of this jubilee year, the society’s board has decided to begin awarding prizes for distinguished Master’s theses related to its field of activity.
The society’s field covers the history of ideas and learning across various disciplines — including the history of different scientific fields, knowledge and scholarship, scientific institutions, and the philosophy of science. The prize recipient is selected by the board of the Finnish Society of Science and Learning from the applications received. The prize amount is 100 euros.
Eligibility
Students at any Finnish university whose Master’s thesis has been approved between 1 August 2024 and 30 June 2026 are eligible to apply. A nomination may be submitted by the author themselves, the thesis supervisor, or its examiner.
Award ceremony in 2026
The prize will be awarded at the 3rd Research Symposium for Early Career Historians on the History of Science and Learning in Helsinki on 24–25 September 2026.
How to apply
The application with attachments must be submitted to the society’s secretary by email at sihteeri@oppihistoriallinenseura.fi no later than 10 August 2026.
The application must include (as PDF files):
- the approved Master’s thesis
- thesis evaluation reports
- a short, freely formatted summary of the thesis topic’s connections to the history of science and learning (max. 300 words)
- the contact details of the thesis author (email, phone number)

FINLANDS LÄRDOMSHISTORISKA SAMFUNDS GRADUPRIS
Finlands lärdomshistoriska samfund (FLS) fyller 60 år i år. Till ära av jubileumsåret har samfundets styrelse beslutat att börja belöna förtjänstfulla pro gradu-avhandlingar inom samfundets verksamhetsområde.
Samfundets verksamhetsområde omfattar brett idé- och lärdomshistorisk forskning inom olika vetenskapsgrenar — inklusive historia för olika vetenskapsgrenar, kunskap och lärdom, vetenskapliga institutioner samt vetenskapsfilosofi. Pristagaren väljs av Finlands lärdomshistoriska samfunds styrelse bland de inkomna ansökningarna. Prisets storlek är 100 euro.
Behörighet
Behöriga att söka är studenter vid vilket finskt universitet som helst vars pro gradu-avhandling har godkänts under perioden 1.8.2024–30.6.2026. Förslaget om pristagare kan lämnas in av antingen författaren själv, avhandlingens handledare eller dess granskare.
Utdelning av priset år 2026
Priset delas ut vid de III:e riksomfattande lärdomshistoriska dagarna för unga forskare i Helsingfors den 24–25 september 2026.

Ansökan med bilagor ska skickas till samfundets sekreterare per e-post till sihteeri@oppihistoriallinenseura.fi senast den 10 augusti 2026.

- den godkända pro gradu-avhandlingen
- utlåtanden som getts om pro gradu-avhandlingen
- en kort, fritt formulerad sammanfattning av avhandlingsämnets kopplingar till lärdomshistoria (max. 300 ord)
- avhandlingsförfattarens kontaktuppgifter (email, telefonnummer)
